Kendall Browning is a wily, sassy secretary who is in love with her boss, the CEO of a cement company, Stephen Dexter. When he asks her to marry him as a wife in name only - an arrangement made to protect his finances - she jumps at the chance of snaring him. Once the threat has passed, he asks her for a divorce, which sparks the perfect romantic comedy as she has to use her cunning to try and keep him.
