A popular daytime show from Canadian radio, The Happy Gang, debuted in 1937 with Bert Pearl as the host. The initial cast featured Bert Pearl on piano, Blaine Mathe on violin, Bob Farnon on trumpet and Kay Stokes on the organ, and opened with the catchy theme tune "Keep Happy with the Happy Gang!"
