Bill Stern tells the story of how John L. Sullivan who many people say was the greatest heavyweight champion America ever had, introduced a little newsboy to vaudeville. The newsboy was Gus Edwards who went on to become famous but never forgot the start he was given by Sullivan and went on himself to discover many famous talented stars such as George Jessel, Eddie Cantor and his own niece Miss Joan Edwards who corroborates the story here.
