Jeff Rainey watched Curly mount the buckskin bronco. The man who had been holding the wild, young animal, stepped aside and he leaped high in the air! Yeeehaaaaaw! Curly was still in the saddle when the bronc hit the ground, but the buckskin started bucking in earnest, and three minutes later Curly sailed over his head and landed near the fence of the corral. Reluctant to try again, Jeff himself decided to take a chance and break the buckskin, but it wouldn't end well for him. It did, however, give him a chance to reconnect with his estranged son, a doctor, who was also a friend of the homesteaders - the very people his father hated and was trying to run out of the area.
