Gildy Takes Up Writing

It’s the first week of January and everyone is busy reading in the Gildersleeve household but Gildy is going over his bills. He decides it’s time to have a talk with the family to see where they can save, as they can’t live on his salary anymore. Gildy reads an ad in a magazine about becoming a successful writer after thirteen lessons and of a woman who earned six hundred dollars. He decides to see if he can make the grade as a writer.
