Tarzan’s respect for the Karmiki tribe had always been great. Of all the jungle peoples the Karmiki had always been the bravest but suddenly they became a people enslaved by fear. Their leaders were helpless; their once proud warriors like frightened children and a feeling of unearthly horror filled their village. Tarzan too became a victim of their unseen enemy a Ghost of the Karmiki.
