The through stage from St Louis was a few miles from the little mining town of Gold Creek. Three passengers rode in the coach, two men and a boy of fourteen who had boarded the stage at the last town. One of the men, a slim man, turned to the boy - the Lone Ranger's nephew Dan Reid, and spoke to him with a distinctly British accent.
