Carlos Alvarado was a notorious outlaw leader, whose boldness and daring was the talk of the territory west of the Pecos. A black patch over one eye gave him a sinister appearance, and the sight of his dark, scarred face grinning behind his ever-ready gun sent chills up the spine of anyone who saw him. Whenever he struck, it was done in a brazen and unexpected manner, and so when the bank owner in Pecos entered his private office one day, he was startled to see a figure with his back turned, staring out of the back window. It was clear as soon as he turned, who the man was, and he was there to empty the bank's safe. A few days later, the Lone Ranger and Tonto were headed to Pecos after receiving a message from the Sheriff asking for help. So far, the outlaw has laughed in the face of the law, and for good reason. But the Lone Ranger knows that Alvarado is bold and reckless, and because of that he hopes to turn the tables on him...
