Yesterday a man called on Lum and Abner explaining that he was from the law firm they have engaged to defend them in the approaching trial with Squire Skimp. He obtained a lot of answers regarding the case and had Lum sign the statement. After he left, it was learned that he was actually connected with Squire's lawyers.
