The Lone Ranger sat in the headquarters of Colonel Humes at Fort Leaton. He listened as the Colonel paced the floor in front of him, and talked. An outlaw gang is running riot in the foothills, and all efforts to catch him have been in vain. The Colonel had felt that there might be some corruption at hand, and he was right! A witness they had incarcerated was released from the cell by a lieutenant of his own. And the lieutenant was none other than the Colonel's own son!
