The first American volunteer group (AVG) of the Chinese Air Force in 1941-1942 were nicknamed The Flying Tigers. They were pilots recruited under President Roosevelt's authority from the Army, Navy and Marines, who flew combat missions which delayed the advance of Japanese forces throughout Southeast China and Burma. Today Cavalcade tells their story, with Bob Prescott, the president and founder of The Flying Tigers appearing on the show.
