First Encounter

Broadcast: 10th September 1964
Added: Dec 04 2012
Just under five years before Neil Armstrong took the first step on the moon came this radio story about man's first steps on the lunar landscape. "Air on the moon" says the astronaut as he observes the dials in their rocket. "That could mean the possibility of life" he continues. An amazing thought. The astronauts move closer to the moon to establish what caused the sudden leap in temperature that points towards there being an atmosphere on the moon. On landing they are completely stunned as to what they discover. Classic science fiction that is reminiscent of shows such as X-Minus One or Dimension X.
