By using the old printing press in the feed room and printing their own hand bills Lum and Abner entered the mudslinging  phase of the current political campaign. The issued a pamphlet inferring that Ezra Seestrunk is a notorious gambler and hence no fit man to be elected to be the mayor of Pine Ridge. Basing their charge on a fairly innocent episode that took place many years ago the old fellows exaggerated the incident to something sinister in retaliation for the distorted charges Ezra had made against Abner the day before.
