The Kraft food company presents it's traditional Easter program.

In the town of Summerfield it is the day before Easter and the Great Gildersleeve’s family is making elaborate preparations for the occasion and they’ve resolved to do something different this year, attend the Easter sunrise service. However the great Gildersleeve is not so keen on the thought of rising at four in the morning!

Near the end of the show Birdie sings a beautiful song about the crucifixtion and the whole family find the true spirit of Easter. It's a new day bringing new hope for the world.
