The Lone Ranger and Tonto were camped on the banks of a wide stream. On the opposite side was a high cliff with a ledge which jutted out over the water like a canopy. Tonto, gazing into the sky at the afternoon sun, shifted his eyes suddenly to the top of the cliff, as gunshots echoed from above on the opposite shore! There was someone shooting at a man, whose horse was shot dead, and he was thrown into the water!
