Mr Steven Thompson is the First Mate of an ocean liner, and whilst the captain of the ship is unwell, he's in charge. His first task comes from a Miss Sinclair, whose eleven year old sister has vanished aboard the liner. She's having one of her 'moods' so will be hiding from everyone - and all she has eaten recently is a dog biscuit - a cuisine she is apparently quite fond of!
