Lee Underwood offered Pat Novak $300 to go and scare a man by the name of Dixie Gilian. All she wanted him to do was to tell him that he’d been sent by Adrian and that he was to get out of town by tomorrow noon. $300 was a lot of money for an hours work but not enough for murder.
