Jane thinks Richard is wonderful but he doesn't seem to be getting any more serious with her so she is going on a date with Peter Guildford. Peter Guildford tells Jane he has an important job for the government in financial distribution. Irma's deadbeat boyfriend doesn't know it but he knows him well from the unemployment office as he is the guy who dishes out the unemployment checks.
