Today we find Abner and Lum at the hotel, trying to carry on a conversation with Cedric as intermediary. Abner is convinced that Lum is a varmint and has cheated him out of a guest, so is taking advantage of him by getting extra profit. When Dick Huddleston arrives the two haven't even noticed that Cedric has walked out, and can't help but tell them they're being childish.
