She wants a divorce from her husband whom she feels spends too much time on his work than on his relationship with her, his wife. He only ever wants to make her happy so reluctantly agrees to the divorce. Then an accident in his laboratory leads to him being left for blind and is confined to a hospital for months of rehabilitation. Unselfishly he is happy now to let his wife go to start a new life without the burden of his disability.
