Jack Benny is back after being out sick the week before. He is hosting a murder mystery dinner party at his mansion. The guests include Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson, Phil Harris, and Rochester. The guests are all suspects in the murder of the butler, who was found dead in the library. Jack is the only one who seems to be immune from suspicion. The guests are all questioned by the police, but no one confesses to the murder. The case remains unsolved at the end of the first part. Look out for part two tomorrow!
