Roderick Riscornicoff was a brilliant scholar and expected to achieve honor and good fortune but one year later he had achieved neither having written one book a book on crime, which made him barely enough money to pay six months rent. Oh the reviews were very nice one said that the subject is handled with such brilliance one wonders whether it is the work of a genius or great detective.
