Tonight's Cavalcade is the story of William Crawford Gorgas, the Surgeon General of the United States Army, who made it his life's work to control the outbreak of Yellow Fever. During the ten year period of constructing the Panama Canal, he successfully maintained a zone in which mosquitoes could not exist around the workers.
