Jack and his friends, Mary Livingston and Phil Harris, arrive at his house to help him decorate the Christmas tree. Benny starts making excuses to avoid decorating, but Livingston and Harris refuse to let him off the hook - although they encounter a series of comical problems. The tree is too tall, the ornaments are too heavy, and the star is stuck at the top of the tree! Despite the challenges, Benny, Livingston, and Harris eventually manage to decorate the tree. They are then joined by Rochester, Benny's valet, who is also dressed up for Christmas...
