The Case of the Quiet Roommate is a story about women’s fashions. In this case they are a cause for violence. The fashions were being stolen and Mary Danvers said she knew who was stealing them and when Nick Carter and Patsy went to see her she walked out of her apartment without saying a word and a moment later they find her murdered in her bedroom in that same apartment.
