Whilst on a long distance railroad trip, a well-known theatrical actress, Miss Irene Leeds, unfortunately makes the acquaintance of a murderer - posing as a decorated Colonel. Another passenger, John Sergeant, knows the real identity of the Colonel, and tries to warn Miss Irene, but will he succeed in saving her?
