The Lone Ranger and Tonto had ridden all night to reach Boomerang Canyon soon after daybreak. As they neared the canyon and the partly finished bridge that spanned it, they permitted their tired horses to move at a slow walk. They had left plenty of time to examine the bridge before the men started work. The successful completion of the bridge would mean great things for the west.
