It's Christmas Eve and on a waterfront street two young brothers, faces blue with cold stand warming themselves by a small fire in an empty oil drum as silent night can be heard in the distance. Red, the elder brother is feeling really low on Christmas spirit and down on the whole season. he just wants to do something to make the five dollars they need to buy their mother a dress for a Christmas present. The younger brother, Buck is a little more upbeat and positive. The story is about the people they meet along the riverfront and their stories. There is always someone worse off than them and then some whose troubles they would happily swap theirs for. And when Red and Buck come across two selfish brothers and think all hope for humanity is lost the selfish brothers do something kind.
