When James Denton’s mother dies James ends in trouble for stealing. Stealing to feed the stray dog he found that his strict father refuses to let him keep. It is the courts opinion that Mr Denton has been anything but a father to Jimmy since his wife died. It takes a photo of Jimmy with his mother and father looking happy together on their way home from church to make Mr Denton realize what his son means to him.
