Nicolette is gone. She had lived at Jack and Betty's next door to the Barbour family home for such a long time that she'd become a part of the household. But Nicolette departed for Washington D.C. last night, to begin her duties with the state department - duties which will take her to Ankara, Turkey. This morning, when Jack left for his law office, Betty had her hands full without Nicolette's accustomed help with the children. It's evening now, and Jack - expecting to see the house in complete chaos - is shocked to find his house quiet and peaceful!
