At Joan Farnsworth's house, five doors up from the Barbour family home, the great-grandfather of the Farnsworth children, having let himself in and shouted a greeting, is now warming his hands before the hearth fire in the living room. He is expecting to take the children to the park, but it seems the plans have changed, and the children are now to take a trip with their father.
