Bob Hope is the Master of Ceremonies today, and opens the show with many of his famous wisecracks - he really does know how to warm up the audience! His stories are of his recent visit to England, and the troops posted there and in other countries. He then introduces the wonderful Frances Langford, who sings 'You'll Never Know', before then introducing the long awaited performance from the Charioteers, who begin by singing 'Pistol Packing Mama'.
