Marshall Matt Dillon and Chester are on the plains when they notice a man and his wife having trouble with their wagon and go to him to help them put the wheel back on the wagon. Cole Treadwell is a Parson and he and his wife Beth Ann decide to stay in Dodge a while. Marshall Dillon tells them that Dodge could do with a Parson whether he was ordained or not. However Cole Treadwell was hiding a darker secret which he wanted to keep from his loving wife.
