Although his girlfriend, Mary Wesley, refuses to accept the fact Boston Blackie is ostensibly in love with Helen Carver, a girl who is promoting Blackie while working for Henry Kane. In the safe of an individual named Frank Johnson are papers that will result in a jail sentence for Kane but Helen Carver prevails upon Blackie to open the safe and he watches her burn an envelope he takes out of it.
