A city housing project is resulting in more and more complaint letters being received at the Daily Sentinel, from folks complaining of the flimsy houses, leaky roofs, no insulation, cracking plaster, and doors and windows that don't fit. Britt Reid agrees that the Daily Sentinel will investigate and write editorials about the place until the city do something about it! Finally, the city agrees to start an investigation, beginning with a building inspector who signed the work off, but he is murdered just before his visit to the grand jury...
