The Lone Ranger and his Indian companion, Tonto, rode leisurely along a winding trail as they journeyed to the south west. As they topped a small hill, they could see a continuation of the trail in the valley below. Suddenly, Tonto pointed at the stage racing through the valley, followed behind by two outlaws who were shooting at them. The Lone Ranger and Tonto urged their mounts forward to stop the men who soon circled away, and once the stage was safe, they followed the fleeing horsemen who had left the trail. The Lone Ranger soon brought down Pedro Cortez from his horse, and would soon return him to Stone City, where they could turn him over to the Sheriff..
