Kenny Delmar opens the show, introducing the guest star for the evening's performance, the star of stage, screen and radio, Basil Rathbone. In his role as radio detective, he's caught more criminals than you'd think possible - even in radio. Before Kenny starts him out on his trail however, The Three Dollars and Savings Bond Orchestra play a medley of two favorites, Mary Lou and Ain't She Sweet.
