Mr Slade comes to visit Britt Reid at the Daily Sentinel. He claims to be an agent from the department of justice, and he's pretty smooth, showering his host with compliments. He wants Britt to help them to catch the Green Hornet! However, Jim only wants the Green Hornet to be taken out, so that he can go back to his job as a part-time jewel thief, and full-time Nazi spy, without the fear of being caught!
