Kippy Brown was a hard clean fighter who got a bad break. When he was in danger of losing his eyesight and needed an operation he had to find five hundred dollars to pay for it. He went to his promoter Sam Wolf to ask him to lend him the money but all he can offer him is to take a dive in a fight. Kippy declines as playing dirty is not in his nature. He approaches all his friends but they all have their own troubles to pay for. It looks like the only thing left for him is to  do the fight at the risk of losing his eyesight.
