Mrs Amelia Harwell has died of poisoning. The family fortune was built by the deceased’s father. Amelia Harwell was his only child and he trained her to take over the business. When she died she was over 70 and was still taking an active part in the business. She was an extremely domineering woman and earned little warmth from her husband Thomas, her daughter Maxine or her son Dexter. Any one of them stood to win a lot of money upon her death as besides her fortune she carried insurance of 150,000 for the family and $200,000 corporation.
