When Charles Castar and his brother-in-law Richard Litton get lost on hunting trip in Canada they seek refuge at a house in the distance. The owner of the house was a very strange man named Joel outcast by society for his individuality and he offered them a bed on the floor in the attic. Suffering exhaustion Charles and Dick are unable to sleep fearing for their lives after Joel tells them he will have his revenge on little people like them.
