For the third time in three years the Green Bay Packers have won their way in to the title game by stopping the western division of the National Football League. For the second straight year they meet the New York Giants, the eastern division champs and the Giants are out to gain revenge for the 37-0 beat hung on them at Green Bay City Stadium last year (1961).

It’s a cold day in New York with the temperature at 20 degrees under a sunny sky and there’s a strong north-west wind at 25-30 miles per hour sweeping over the triple deck stands and swirling inside the stadium but this is the game of the year in professional football the game that fans across the nation have been waiting for.

The New York Giants are unable to gain their revenge and are defeated once again by the Green Bay Packers. Final score: Green Bay Packers: 16 New York Giants: 07.
