This is really a tale of Spike Tyler as told by his sergeant in the North African desert in 1942. They were on their own with a journey of 700 miles to cover through the desert. Along the way their vehicle is damaged and they are offered hospitality by a native. Arriving at their camp the leader Sheikh Al Karin assures them they will be given every comfort.  Edwin "Spike" Tyler takes a stroll round the encampment and falls for a beautiful Arab girl called Yasmin. She was Sheikh Al Karin's daughter. Spike wanted to pursue a relationship with her but Yasmin exclaimed it was forbidden in their culture. The sergeant ordered him not to get involved and he should have listened.

The word WOG is used in this show and refers to a Northern African person at a time when the acronym meant Wily Oriental Gentleman.
