Who Am I?

Who Am I?

Throughout history, our heroes of old time radio kept the troops (and ourselves) entertained, and many of them enlisted for service too.

Last weeks quiz seems to have been a big hit! Lots of people gave it a go, and the results were excellent. Well done!

Not everyone has had a go yet though. So if you haven't already completed the quiz, here's a couple of the questions (and answers), so that you can have a little warm-up before heading over to the Quiz Page to complete the rest.

Who Am I?
I was already a movie star when I joined the US Air Force in 1941. I later flew and commanded many bombing missions over Germany and Nazi-occupied Europe. After the war, I remained in the Reserves, eventually rising to the rank of brigadier general.
James Stewart
Hanley Stafford
Paul Frees
Hans Conried

Correct Answer: It was, of course, James (Jimmy) Stewart.
One of the most beloved men in showbusiness. In 1946, Jimmy Stewart starred in the hit film It's A Wonderful Life. Lux Radio Theater recreated the film for radio in 1947 with James Stewart and Donna Reed both in their original roles. This is Joy's favorite film and she believes that everyone should be humbled by it at least once a year!

And here's another question for you...

So Proudly We Hail
Can you identify the lovely and talented trio who played the army nurses in the inspiring movie and old time radio show, 'So Proudly We Hail'.

Choose the stars who you think are the right match.
