Warren G. Harding
Warren Harding was President of the United States of America from 1921 to 1923, and at the time, radio was the hottest technology there was.
On the radio series, Adventures in Research, the story of the first scheduled radio broadcast of the presidential election on November 2, 1920, is recounted, which continued intermittently throughout the night as the results were received.
The nominees were Warren G. Harding and Calvin Coolidge for the Republicans, and James M. Cox and Franklin D. Roosevelt for the Democrats.
Warren G Harding was the successful party, and began his term at the White House, where he made sure The White House was at the cutting edge of technology, when on 8th February 1922, Harding had a radio installed.
Unfortunately, Harding had a tough presidency, and in 1923, it was his misfortune to have a very trusting nature and to be the victim of many corrupt officials in his administration.
A man of great personal integrity, he never got over the treachery of so many men around him.
