True Life Tales and Unsolved Mysteries

I have to confess I often get hooked on a radio soap opera or two, and sometimes even a television series.

One of these was the Netflix reboot of the long-running television series, Unsolved Mysteries - especially after the news this week that a missing girl featured in the series has been found!

If you're not familiar with it, the show uses re-enactments and interviews to retell the circumstances of mysteries that are unsolved. The series covers crimes, tales of lost love, unexplained history and paranormal events, and viewers are encouraged to provide information that might solve the mystery.

The truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, and in the United States alone there are several cases on record in which the police, in finding no clue on which to work, have been led directly to the murderer by a force we call the supernatural.

It reminded me of the original 1936 Unsolved Mysteries radio series, starring Stanley Peyton which is available for you to listen to, on RUSC.com

With strange stories of zombies, ghost ships and serial killers - as far as thrillers go, it's fabulously creepy, edge-of-your-seat stuff!
