No Advertising on RUSC

In the twenty one years that RUSC has been going, we've always had strict policy of no advertising of any kind.

As you know already, Joy and I are huge old time radio enthusiasts, and RUSC has been a labor of love for all of these years - one which we have enjoyed immensely! 

We have met so many wonderful friends who love old time radio as much as we do (some even more so!), but with all of the fees involved in hosting such an expansive old time radio website, on occasion, we have to review how much we are spending, and consider other ways to maintain the revenue needed to keep RUSC going.

After we emailed you on 4th July, we had some lovely replies, about my "P.S." at the bottom, thanking Joy and I for always keeping our old time radio website advertisement free. 

But then there were so many other things you guys mentioned. Reasons why you truly enjoy RUSC, and features that are special to you which are all included in your membership - which you can't get on any other old time radio presence online. Some of these features I think others aren't even aware of, so I've listed all the things I can think of below:-

• Joy adds new shows six days a week, with a brief review so that you know what you're listening to.
• The ease of use, the daily updates, and the one-click downloading of shows to your PC or Mac. 
• The ability to queue up shows and play them at your leisure, providing hours of uninterrupted listening. 
• RUSC remembers which shows you've already listened to or downloaded, so you don't have to! No more wasting time listening to the same show twice...
• There's RUSC mobile for listening on-the-move.
• Regular editorial updates of shows, stars, series, historical or current events.
• The RUSC Radio Stations (which play through a gigantic list of old time radio shows in whatever genre you select)
• Fun crosswords and quizzes.
• Finally, you can always feel safe in the knowledge that everything you download from RUSC is from a trusted source, secured, and completely virus and malware free, and Joy and I are on hand to help you should you run into any problems.

Yikes! When I write it all down, it makes me realize how much RUSC really has to offer! And you guys are the ones who have come up with lots of the ideas for improvements over the years. 

Which got me to thinking, that it would be great for Joy and I, if you could help us with a little survey so that we can keep on improving the things that you want, as members of our wonderful RUSC family. I'll email you a link to the survey in a day or two. 

But for now, let's get back to enjoying our old radio shows, without any pesky ads spoiling our pleasure!
