New Series for Halloween ... Macabre

At the end of the golden age of radio, eight terrifically terrifying episodes of horror were created for the series, Macabre.
Final Resting Place
The first show in the series features a newlywed groom, willingly buried alive for $500 to pay off his car... I genuinely found I was taking big gulps of air myself, when he eventually wakes up from a hypnotic state, panicking - and the part where his wife is digging at the ground trying to find him is genuinely quite distressing!
The Weekend
How lovely for us to take a weekend away together! Except on this short break, you will be spending your time on a mysterious island with a mad doctor who is experimenting with a deadly drug.
The Man in the Mirror
A spooktacular tale of blood and the supernatural! When a man is fatally injured in a road traffic accident, and about to die, he is given a chance to live when he is spoken to by a strange voice. But what are the consequences of such a choice...
The House in the Garden
In a variation of a classic story, a man bets his mortal enemy that he cannot remain in a small house alone for ten years. The story is set in 1910 in 'a land of voodoo'.
The Midnight Horseman
As the young ones say these days, this is a 'jump scare' episode, guaranteed to make you scream, and tells the tale of 'The Midnight Horseman' - a painting of a black knight ... with occult powers!
Avengers
Not the comic book Avengers you may be thinking of... This is the story of 'The Curse of the Twelve Moons', a tale filled with unfriendly natives, temples of doom, and spirits of the underworld.
The Crystalline Man
Indiana Jones-inspired madness, with the discovery of a quartz sarcophagus and a crystal man asleep inside of it.
The Edge of Evil
The series grand finale, and a terrifyingly fantastic, ghost story about a scientist's creation.
An awesome example of horror at its radio suspense finest. I'll be adding all of the episodes over the next couple of days.
