New Serial on RUSC - Magic Island

New Serial on RUSC - Magic Island

If you enjoyed listening to the serialized adventures of Jerry of the Circus or Air adventures of Jimmie Allen to name but two wonderful adventure stories then we have a treat in store for you. Magic Island is a wonderful fantasy juvenile serial that was written and produced by Perry Crandall who is also heard as the announcer on the series and originally broadcast in 1936.

A wealthy and beautiful Californian woman Mrs Patricia Gregory has spent 14 years searching the world over for her little daughter Joan Gregory. Fourteen years ago Mrs Gregory, her husband and baby daughter were shipwrecked in the South Pacific. Everyone on board were believed lost except Mrs Gregory. But she has always felt that her little girl was also saved. This belief has caused Mrs Gregory to offer a large reward for news of any young white-girl found in the South Sea Islands who might be proved to be her daughter.

With the help of Jerry who turns up with news that Joan is on Magic Island in the South Seas Mrs Gregory, Captain Tex Bradford and Jerry set off on Mrs Gregory's yatch and discover a magic island called Euclidia which is inhabited by some strange people and here she is reunited with her daughter.

As each of the 130 episodes unfolds you will be taken with them on many an exciting adventure in their attempts to escape from the island and return home to a happy ending.

There are a few episodes of the tale already on RUSC and I will continue adding them daily throughout January to engross you in the story. From February I will add two episodes each week on Saturday and Sunday's until all of the episodes are live on RUSC.

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
