NEW SERIES: Weird Circle

A new spooky series started on Sunday. I'll put one episode up each day of this week and then once a week for as long as they last.

The Weird Circle is a series of thirty minute tales of terror and horror. The series was broadcast on Mutual stations from Nov 1943 to Oct 1947 and briefly in Sept/Oct 1947 on ABC. Each show begins with an austere voice declaring “Out of the past Phantoms of the world gone by speak again their immortal tales”. And end with the same ghostly voice ordering, “Bell Keeper, Toll the bell” to the sound of chilling wind. Apparently many of the tales were based on short stories from French authors.
